Driver Flown To Hospital Following Newport Crash: Report
The driver was flown to Rhode Island Hospital after veering off Ocean Avenue, according to reports.
NEWPORT, RI — One person was hospitalized following a crash that temporarily closed Newport's Ocean Road Wednesday morning, according to reports.
The crash happened around 7:45 a.m. when a 25-year-old man veered into the road off Ocean Avenue, WPRI reported. He was flown by helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital, and was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The crash temporarily closed part of Ocean Avenue, according to WPRI.
