Three people were killed in a crash on Interstate 95 South early Tuesday morning, Rhode Island State Police said. The driver was speeding when the vehicle veered off the road near Exit 8and crashed into a tree, bursting into flames.
The driver and both passengers were declared dead at the scene, and taken to the Medical Examiner's Office for identification using dental records.
