Gusty Winds In RI Ahead Of Unsettled Weather Week

RHODE ISLAND — Expect another week of unsettled weather in Rhode Island this week, starting with gusty winds and ending with showers.

More springlike weather is in the forecast for Monday, with temperatures in the high 50s for much of the state. The warmer weather will be accompanied by a chance of showers in the evening hours, along with winds gusting up to 45 mph.

Sunshine will return Tuesday, ahead of clouds and a chance of rain Wednesday. By Wednesday night, there will be a chance of rain and snow, which will clear during the overnight hours. After a mixture of clouds and sunshine and highs in the mid-50s Thursday and Friday, there will be a chance of showers Friday evening.

A chance of showers, mainly after 5 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 57. South wind 6 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 p.m., then a chance of showers between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 36. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph becoming west after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunny, with a high near 45. Northwest wind 11 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph.
