July Water Bills Delayed In Newport

NEWPORT, RI — Newport Water Division customers should expect a delay in receiving their July utility bills.

City officials said the delay was caused by vendor technical issues impacting the ability to issue monthly statements. As a result, the late payment penalty date will be extended for affected billing cycles, city officials said.

City officials said the Newport Water Division is addressing the matter, and a resolution is expected soon.
