Man Arrested After Police See Cocaine Sticking Out of Pocket
The following arrests were reported by the Newport Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Two Newport residents were arrested after police responded to Evarts Street on Sunday around 4:40 p.m. for a report of a male that pushed a female to the ground.
Xavier Perry, 19, of 12 Champlin St., was charged with a felony drug possession charge and domestic simple assault. His 17-year-old girlfriend was charged with simple assault. The girl allegedly slapped Perry who then pushed her to ground a few minutes later. Police said a small glassine baggie was sticking out of Perry's pants pocket with white powdery substance, that later tested positive for cocaine.
