Newport Man Accused Of Molesting Child 5 Times In Portsmouth
Prosecutors say Jose Vega, 52, of Newport, molested a child five times between May 2012 and May 2017.
NEWPORT, RI — A Newport man was indicted after he molested a child five times in Portsmouth, Attorney General Peter Neronha's office said Wednesday.
Jose Vega, 52, was charged Friday by a Newport County grand jury with five counts of first-degree child molestation. According to prosecutors, the molestations happened between May 2, 2012, and May 2, 2017.
Vega is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Newport County Superior Court.
