Newport Police Hosting Toy Drive At Walmart This Week
Newport police said all the toys donated will go to the Salvation Army on Memorial Boulevard.
NEWPORT, RI — Newport police will host a holiday toy drive on Friday to help local families in need get gifts for their children.
The toy drive is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Walmart at 199 Connell Highway. Police said they are looking for toys for children ages 2 to 16.
Newport police said all the toys donated will go to the Salvation Army on Memorial Boulevard. That location is serving hundreds of local families that are in need of toys for the holiday season.
