Newport Wants Community Input For City's Strategic Plan
See how you can help the Newport Town Council develop a vision for Newport's future and a plan to execute it to fruition.

NEWPORT, RI — Newport city officials are asking residents, community members, and other stakeholders to help update the city council's strategic plan.
As one of the city's visioning documents, the Newport City Council’s strategic plan aims to ensure the city's priorities align with community members by identifying an overarching vision for Newport and guide where and how it focuses its resources. As a first step in what will be a two-phase process, city officials are soliciting community feedback with an online survey and ideas board found on the Newport city website.
City officials said the first phase aims to gather input from community members on the city's existing strategic plan. According to city officials, this feedback will be used to inform the Newport City Council when they update the strategic plan and create a new draft in late October. The first phase of online community feedback will occur throughout September.
