Newporters' Free Admission to Mansions Extended Through 2016
The Preservation Society has given Newport residents the gift of free admission for another year.

Free admission to the Newport Mansions has been extended through 2016, the Preservation Society of Newport County announced Thursday.
“This is our Christmas gift to our community,” said CEO and Executive Director Trudy Coxe. “We’re so pleased that more than 5,000 Newport residents have taken advantage of free admission to our properties since June, and we want to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to see these American treasures right in their own backyard.”
Newport residents could enjoy free admission this year as part of the society’s celebration of its 70th anniversary.
