NEWPORT, RI — Newport city officials set up parking restrictions Monday along Ledyard Street to make improvements to the city's sewer system.
The work is on Ledyard Street from Broadway to Union Street. From Monday to Dec. 2 (weather depending), no parking signs will be put up along the street.
There also may be parking restrictions in the area from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., on weekdays. But local vehicle and pedestrian access to homes will be maintained throughout the project, city officials said.
