Upon arrival, the victim came out of the apartment and appeared shaken, telling officers that Mumme had banged on the door and then struck her multiple times.

The victim said that she had been dating Mumme for about a year but they broke up recently. Mumme reportedly had bought a plane ticket and was planning to fly to Florida to go to rehab and the victim was worried that he would try to come by her apartment before leaving to see her “one last time.”

Her fears came true when she reportedly heard banging on her door “to the point where she was fearful that the door was going to break,” the police report stated.

As the victim approached the door, the door suddenly flew open, causing the latch on the deadbolt to hit her in the mouth.

Mumme then reportedly stormed into the apartment, grabbed her phone so she couldn’t call police and started pushing and slapping her.

Police said they saw redness on the victim’s face and her lips were starting to show bruising and swelling.

Mumme denied touching the victim, according to the police report.

He was taken into custody without incident and held overnight for arraignment Wednesday.
