Potter League To Take Part In Annual 'Empty The Shelters' Event
The organization will lower adoption fees to just $25 for cats and dogs from July 9 to 11.

MIDDLETOWN, RI — For the next few days, adoption fees at a local shelter will be deeply discounted, as part of the national "Empty the Shelters" event. Middletown's Potter League will be one of the more than 180 shelters in 40 states taking part.
The Bissell Pet Foundation sponsors the event four times each year, lowering adoption fees to encourage people to take home a new furry friend. Through the program, more than 53,000 pets have found a forever home.
From July 9 to 11, all cats and dogs at the Potter League will be available for adoption for just $25 in fees. More information about the event and available animals can be found on the organization's website.
