Rain-Snow Mix Expected To Bring Messy Weekend Weather
Rhode Island isn't expected to see any notable snow accumulation, but expect outdoor activities to be unpleasant this weekend.

RHODE ISLAND — After springlike sunshine to end the week, more unpleasant, wintry weather is in the forecast for the weekend. A sloppy mixture of rain and snow is expected over the weekend, with gusty winds.
While the northwest corner of Massachusetts could see as much as eight inches of accumulation, little to no measurable snow is expected in Rhode Island. The National Weather Service predicted less than an inch statewide.
Expect rain for much of the day Saturday. Temperatures are expected to peak in the high 40s by late morning, before falling to the 30s by the end of the day. The precipitation will change over to a rain-snow mix by evening. Expect wind gusts above 30 mph, with high gusts on Block Island and along the coast.
