RI Gas Prices Climb Another Six Cents
Rhode Island gas prices continued to climb in the last week, bringing the average cost per gallon to $2.46.

Gas prices have continued to climb across Rhode Island in the past week, rising six cents. The average cost per gallon is now $2.46.
Rhode Island's average price per gallon is eight cents lower than the national average of $2.54, and seven cents lower than the price in the state this time last year.
“Since early February, gasoline demand has been steadily increasing while stocks have been gradually decreasing, which has boosted pump prices across the country,” said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast senior vice president of public and government affairs. “The good news is that most motorists are not paying more at the pump than they were at this time last year.”
