Things to Do: Tour Newly Renovated Farmhouse, Historical Lecture

Here are five things to know and do around Newport this week!

1. It is business per usual for at least two favorite events this year after they were impacted by last year’s budget cuts Naval Station welcomes back Save the Bay for their annual swim and the Rhode Island National Guard Air Show is back.
    
2. Teens are welcome to the Newport Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m. to watch Ferris Bueller’s Day off and snack on pizza.  
    
3. Join the Newport Historical Society on a talk about 18th-century African-American women on Thursday, Jan. 16 at 5:30 pm.. at the Colony House n Washington Square.  Read more here.
