Third Bomb Threat Against Newport Schools Reported Wednesday
Students at Rogers High School were evacuated Wednesday after yet another bomb threat.

NEWPORT, RI—Newport schools are on alert once again on Wednesday after yet another bomb threat was made against city schools.
It’s the third bomb threat over the last four days.
Rogers High School was evacuated Wednesday at around 10:30 a.m.

School officials said in a notice to parents that the school received a bomb threat against Rogers High School and “in abundance of caution, we are evacuating Rogers High School to Murphy Field.”
The Rhode Island State Police is at the school assisting Newport police in the investigation.

Threats against city schools were made for Monday and Tuesday of this week. Both were deemed to be hoaxes.
