Twins Take Plea Deal In Cliff Walk Vandalism Case

Two East Providence women will pay more than $1,000 apiece in restitution for painting a seawall along the Cliff Walk.

NEWPORT, RI Two East Providence women will pay more than $1,000 apiece in restitution for tagging a seawall along the Cliff Walk, a district court judge decided on Jan. 31. According to court papers, twin sisters Jenna and Jocelyn Senecal, 32, pleaded no contest in Second District Court. They had been charged with vandalism and conspiracy, but the conspiracy charge was dropped.

The two were caught on surveillance camera but had disappeared before police arrived. Newport officers posted their photographs over social media. The two were identified and turned themselves in.

The tagged seawall is behind Miramar, 646 Bellevue Ave.

Each will pay $1,050 in restitution, plus court costs ($96.75 fees). They have also been ordered to do community service. If they stay out of trouble for a year, the charges will be dropped.
