Wayfinder Hotel In Newport Reopens After Massive Fire
Most of the Newport hotel was destroyed in a fire in May 2022, and three firefighters suffered injuries.
NEWPORT, RI — The Wayfinder Hotel in Newport, which was partially destroyed in a fire in May 2022, has reopened for bookings.
Hotel management confirmed the news Wednesday evening on Facebook. Reservations can be made on Thursdays through Sundays with limited service, while the hotel finishes repairs.
"We're thrilled to be re-opening our doors for you with limited service," a hotel spokesperson said on Wayfinder's website. "As we work to rebuild the lobby and Nomi Park, we welcome you to stay with us in our Pool House and get a taste of the Wayfinder experience."

Most of the hotel, which is owned by Dovetail + Co., was destroyed in a fire on May 23, 2022. Three firefighters suffered injuries while battling the flames, city officials said.
