Where To See Santa In Newport This Christmas Season

NEWPORT, RI — Visits and pictures with Santa Claus are treasured traditions for many Newport families. In Newport, kids have several chances to see jolly old St. Nick in person.

Santa To Make Nightly Rides With Newport Police, Fire

Santa is scheduled to meet with Newport’s fire and police departments beginning Dec. 10 for his annual tour of Newport’s neighborhoods. This year, Santa will ride with Newport's first responders through the streets to see the city’s children beginning at 5:30 p.m. each night Dec. 10, 12, 17, and 19.

Santa’s visit is weather dependent. If there is inclement weather on any night he is scheduled, he will do his best to complete his visit in that area of the city on the following night, city officials said.
