Winter Weather Advisory In RI Ahead Of Ice, Sleet
Expect a slick commute on Friday morning, when a mixture of rain, sleet and snow will make for icy roads and dangerous conditions.

RHODE ISLAND — Another winter storm is on its way to Rhode Island, bringing a sloppy mixture of ice, sleet and snow to the state for the morning commute.
The storm will start as rain Thursday evening, before temperatures drop from the mid-40s to the teens overnight. A messy freezing rain will continue Friday morning, mixing with sleet heading in to the afternoon.
"Plan on a slower than normal commute," the National Weather Service said. "Be aware that roads [and] walkways may become icy fast!"

A winter weather advisory will be in place statewide from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m. Friday. The greatest danger to Rhode Islanders will likely be the ice, with up to a quarter-inch of coating possible in parts of the state.
