North Providence Man Produced 10 Videos Of Child Pornography: Feds

Prosecutors say Larry Albino, 50, of North Providence, filmed child pornography in his home, leading to his arrest last week.

NORTH PROVIDENCE, RI — A North Providence man is facing federal charges after prosecutors said he produced 10 videos of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Zachary Cunha said Tuesday.

Larry Albino, 50, was ordered detained following his initial appearance in U.S. District Court on Monday, where he was charged with production of child pornography.

Prosecutors said the investigation into Albino began Sept. 16. Rhode Island State Police received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, that an IP address in North Providence, was used to upload 10 files depicting the abuse of a pre-pubescent child. Prosecutors said state police traced the IP address to Albino's home.

According to prosecutors, locations where the videos were recorded matched pictures of rooms recently displayed in an online property rental listing where Albino lives.

On Sept. 17, authorities executed a search warrant at Albino's home. Prosecutors said police immediately recognized that some of the furnishings of rooms inside Albino’s home matched those depicted in the videos of child sexual abuse, and that sandals worn by the defendant at the time officers arrived matched those worn by the abuser in some of the videos.
