• North Providence Police Renew Plea For Public Assistance With 2-Year-Old Homicide (patch.com) — North Providence residents are being urged to share any information that could help solve the 2023 killing of 61-year-old retired nurse Claire Grady Flynn, found dead in her Centerdale Avenue home. Police say the homicide investigation remains active, with detectives pursuing all leads and working with outside agencies, and they’re especially interested in tips about Flynn’s relationships, routines, and contacts in late 2023, including November.
   

• Meet the Johnston high school athlete heading to the NFL Pro Bowl (providencejournal.com) — A Johnston High School flag football standout recently helped her team beat North Providence during a special halftime game at Gillette Stadium, then learned she’s been chosen for the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl Games showcase. Olivia Iafrate, a multi-sport senior, will travel to San Francisco as one of just 32 high school girls nationwide selected to play in the NFL Flag Girls High School Showcase.
