Here are the top stories in Pawtucket today:
- Yard waste collection and street sweeping are to begin in town the week of April 4. Pawtucket residents are being asked to place leaf bags out on their normal trash pickup day. Leaves and yard waste must be placed in brown yard waste bags, which are available at all local hardware stores, or be put in a barrel (33 gallons or less) clearly labeled "yard waste" in order to be collected. (Town Of Pawtucket)
- A moving truck collided with a gas pump at Thurbers Avenue Gas on Thurbers Avenue Sunday afternoon. The incident summonsed crews from the Providence Police and Fire Department to respond to the scene. No one was hurt. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
- According to the Providence Police Department, shots were fired at Chalkstone Avenue and Bergen Street at around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday morning. One man was arrested as the result of the incident. (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
