  1. Paul J. Hochwarter 70, passed away. He proudly served as a RI law enforcement officer for over 40 years. He received his law enforcement degree from Bryant College and began his career as a Pawtucket Police Officer, rising to the rank of Captain. After retiring from the Pawtucket police force, he went on to work for both the RI State Fugitive and the State Police Violent Fugitive task forces. He finished his career as an investigator with the Attorney General’s office. (GoLocalProv)

  3. Breeze Airways has announced the expansion of its service at Rhode Island International Airport, adding five new direct flights. The new flights include the first-ever direct flight from Providence to Los Angeles as well as direct flights to Richmond, VA; Jacksonville FL; Savannah, GA; and Columbus, OH. (GoLocalProv)
  4. According to a press release from the City Of Providence, effective as of March 8, the City of Providence has updated its COVID-19 vaccination policy to include a requirement that would allow employees who are not fully vaccinated against the virus, as defined by the CDC, to submit two negative covid-19 tests weekly. In addition, face masks are no longer be required in City buildings, though both City employees and visitors are welcome to continue wearing masks if they so choose. (Press Release Desk)
