- Making Pawtucket a little prettier, Paris Fisher uses his artistic prowess, thoughtful images and inspiring words to spread beauty throughout his hometown. His re-created art can be seen on many electric boxes in Pawtucket as part of Pawtucket’s arts-inspired PaintBox program. Paris uses his paintings as a way to uplift the community, start conversations and help people find hope. (Valley Breeze)
- The Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is hosting a community-focused virtual workshop on proposed service improvements in Pawtucket. The workshop will be held Monday, March 14, at 6 p.m. RIPTA will be discussing proposed service changes to Routes 1, 71, 73, 75, 76, 78, 80 and the R-Line.(Valley Breeze)
- After being altered last year due to COVID-19 The Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket will be holding its summer camps this year, returning to normal programming. Registration is now open. The first session begins on June 27. (Valley Breeze)
- More input from students is sought from Pawtucket officials in regard to school dress codes. Middle and high school student organizations are being asked to take the lead on surveying students about their concerns on the student dress code policy and there is an online survey for parents and administrators to share their comments or concerns. - Getting ready for spring activities, the Pawtucket Parks & Recreation Division has announced its recreational classes and program lineup. Classes will encompass an eight-week session that takes place at Jenks Junior High School or Agnes Little Elementary School. In-person registration is now being accepted. (Valley Breeze)
