Here are the top three stories today in Pawtucket:

  1. According to the Facebook page of the Pawtucket Police Department, it is the belief of law enforcement that an informed public is a safe public. The department recently posted information about a convicted sex offender who was let out of prison. The individual who appears on this notification has been convicted of a sexual offense, which requires that he/she register as a sex offender with law enforcement agencies pursuant to RI General Laws 11-37.1-1 et seq. This offender is not wanted by the police at this time and has served the sentence imposed on him by the court. (Pawtucket Police Department)
  2. The modernization of the classic 'Oklahoma!' will open at the Providence Performing Arts Center on March 22. Without changing a word, the show will highlight a new twist on an old classic. (The Providence Journal)
  3. Providence St. Patrick's Day parade is back after a two-year hiatus. Will you be wearing green today? (WLNE-TV (ABC6))
