• Wanted MA Man Nabbed In West Warwick: Cops (patch.com) — West Warwick residents are learning that a 40-year-old Massachusetts man wanted on multiple sex offender and fraud-related warrants was arrested during a traffic stop on Centerville Road. Rhode Island State Police say he was taken into custody locally before being transported to the state’s correctional intake center, where he awaits arraignment on the outstanding charges.
   

• Vietnam veteran receives long-overdue Purple Heart (wpri.com) — A 78-year-old West Warwick resident, Vietnam veteran Joseph Machado, has finally received the Purple Heart medal he earned 55 years ago after being wounded in combat. After Sen.
