Globe Park School Ends Math & Science Week With Door Prizes, Balloon Rockets
Seven days of focus on math and science makes classrooms, students brighter.
Globe Park School ended their annual Annual Math and Science Week with prizes for the best decorated classroom door Friday, chose from an array of numerical and scientific themes.
They also fired off a few balloon rocket tests for good measure.

Many of the school's classrooms participated in the decorating contest, focusing on themes that included a mouse-trap style interactive door (marble included, but kept safely nearby - see video), a phlallanx of leprechauns, and a treatment of the number 19, including the Nineteenth Amendment.
Members of the community were invited to judge throughout the week, and final tallies were made Friday.

Winners for Globe Park's Annual Math and Science Week's Door Decorating Contest (see attached photos):
Room 20, Mr. Lapierre's room won the 3-5 category
Room 35, Ms. Frechette's room, won the K-2 category
The students also exercised every day, said Math Teacher Christine Parker. They also completed a number of daily science and math exercises, including a daily physics lab challenging the kids to construct baloon rockets (see video).
