  1. Onion recall update: We’ve already talked about the red, white, and yellow onions from Chihuahua, Mexico that are currently part of a recall. However, they have also found their ways into home meal delivery kits. HelloFresh and EveryPlate are two vendors that are warning customers. (FSN)
  2. Rev. Richard Desaulniers, a native of Woonsocket, was honored on Friday for a half-century of service. For three decades, he served as pastor at St. James Parish in Manville. Before that he served at St. Joseph’s in Woonsocket. Although currently retired, the Rev. Desaulniers still celebrates mass. (The Valley Breeze)
  3. What happens when you don’t show up for court? Well, the PD will look for you. A 39-year-old Woonsocket woman learned this the hard way when the Warwick PD arrested her on six failures to appear at a variety of courts. It appears shoplifting is her Achilles’ heel. (Warwick Post)
  4. Vaccine mandate protesters gave Governor Dan McKee an earful on Saturday. He was visiting a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at Hamlet Middle School, when he was greeted with signs reading, “Unmask Our Children” and “Stick That Poison Vaccine . . .” Paul Rianna, one of the more vociferous protesters, caused a brief interruption.(WJAR)
  5. Are you missing a black bunny? The adorable creature was found Thursday and taken to the Woonsocket Animal Control Shelter. Please connect with the staff to bring bunny home. (Woonsocket Animal Shelter)
