Council - The Woonsocket City Council meets tonight. Among the items on their agenda (see attached .pdf) are a discussion with Fire Chief Gary Lataille of fees for emergency services, and a letter from a woman on Roberge Avenue complaining of a lot she says Mount St. Charles doesn't use to effectively mitigate event parking in the area. They'll also speak with lawyers about the impending changes to retiree pensions.
Venture - All Saints Parish's Venturing Crew meeting will be held tonight at the church, 6:30 p.m. Venturing, a little known part of The Boys Scouts of America, is made up of boys and girls between the ages of 14-21. It is a non denominational leadership program where youths learn to be leaders while enjoying the company of their peers under the supervision of registered adults of BSA.

WMS Fundraiser Brainstorming - The WMS PTO is scheduling an extra meeting this month on Tuesday March 19 to plan some fundraisers at 6pm in Hamlet.
FRCA VITA Program - Family Resources Community Action is providing FREE Income Tax Preparation forfamilies with incomes less than $51,000. All preparers are certified by the IRS, andE-filing is done for fast returns. Appointments are available at Family Resources Community Action, 245 Main St., on the following days:

Nixle - After the recent snowstorm the Woonsocket Police and Fire Department want to send a reminder about Nixle. During the snowstorm residents received a phone message with information from Nixle. We are encouraging all residents and interested parties to sign up for Nixle’s OPT IN notification alerts. You will be able to choose what messages you want to be informed of including emergency alerts, public safety updates, or community event information. You can receive Nixle messages on your cell phone, tablet, or other device.
