1. Did you know it was National Pedestrian Safety Month? I didn’t either. Even so, the PD takes this opportunity to remind residents that “everyone is a pedestrian.” Therefore, drivers need to remember to use safe speeds, safe vehicles, and safe roads. (Woonsocket PD)
2. Mount Saint Charles will honor military veterans on November 1. This will take place during the All Saints' Day Mass at 9:30 AM. Veterans who wish to attend should call ahead. Plan to attend a White Table Ceremony for the school community and veterans. (@MtStCharles)
3. Joneigh Khaldun, M.D., MPH, FACEP is now CVS Health’s new Vice President and Chief Health Equity Officer. One of her tasks will be to find solutions for health care disparities and the barriers that create them. Khaldun is uniquely qualified for the position, since she has “served as the Chief Medical Executive for the State of Michigan and Chief Deputy Director for Health in the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.” (NBC)
