  1. The Woonsocket Vaccine Clinic put on by Thundermist Health reached capacity early Tuesday morning. It stopped accepting walk-in patients for vaccination that day. Operators urge residents to make appointments. (@thundermisthc)
  2. There was a water main break Monday afternoon. Crews responded to the area on Pelletier Avenue off of South Main Street. While some customers were left without water, others are warned that they may see “discolored water.” (WJAR)
  3. Ye Olde English Fish & Chips in Market Square is WOON’s business of the day for Tuesday. Located at 25 South Main Street, this eatery has been in operation since 1922. It has once been called, “the only place . . . on this side of the Atlantic that approaches the quality and popularity of Ramsden’s,” which is famous for fish and chips in Guiseley, England.   4. We learned Tuesday that the Franklin PD and Walpole PD won the 3rd Annual She Loves Police Gingerbread Contest. Both departments made it through five rounds of voting. They took over the first place honors from last year’s winner, the Warwick PD. (WickedLocal)
  5. Rhode Island Governor Daniel McKee announced Tuesday that he activated 180 members of the National Guard to “help with the state's response to the latest wave of new coronavirus cases.” They started their duty in Central Falls, where residents encountered “long lines and long waits.” In addition, the Governor “announced six more community vaccination clinics have been scheduled for Wednesday, in Little Compton and East Providence, and two each in Providence and Pawtucket.” (Stamford Advocate)
