Someone noticed some WACTC students doing something great. Also, it’s deer mating season. Finally, have you noticed something about the HS?

Here are the top stories today in Woonsocket:

1. The Woonsocket Area Career and Technical Center is not just helping students to be prepared for excellent careers. Students also learn about community spirit and service. A group of Health Careers CTE seniors decided to undertake a community service project and give back to the city! (@WeAreWACTC)
2. Do you know what time it is? The deer do! It is deer mating season, which means that the animals have their minds on other things than watching where they are crossing the road. For drivers, this means being particularly careful through the end of the year when traveling at dawn or dusk. If you don’t pay attention, you can easily spend between $2,500 and $6,000 in car repairs.(DEM)
3. Did you know that Woonsocket HS underwent quite a few improvements? They cannot be seen as easily from the street, but they did happen. For starters, the roof has been finished, the auditorium was repainted, and fresh carpeting was installed. There is a new PA system, too! (Woonsocket Schools)
