Woonsocket Man Pleads Guilty: Child Molestation: AG

WOONSOCKET, RI—A 23-year-old Woonsocket man has pleaded guilty to first-degree child molestation, Atty. Gen. Peter Kilmartin's office said. Geordan Kostas on Monday appeared in Superior Court and waived indictment. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison, nine to serve and the rest suspended with probation. He also was ordered to have no contact with the victim, to undergo sex offender counseling and be subject to lifetime registration as a sex offender. According to Kilmartin's office, the offenses happened between Oct. 2, 2015 and Oct. 1, 2016 when Kostas molested a 13-year-old girl whom he knew.
