Woonsocket Middle School: 'Bullets Found In Boys' Lav
The schools superintendent said Friday a janitor found bullets but no weapon in a boys' bathroom Friday after school was dismissed.

WOONSOCKET, RI — Dr. Patrick McGee, Woonsocket schools superintendent, said police were called to the Hamlet Avenue middle school Friday after a janitor found bullets (but no weapon) in a boys' bathroom. The discovery came around 2 p.m. after school was dismissed. He could not say if the bullets were in a trash barrel or elsewhere.
The building went on lockdown, he said. Although 90 percent of students had left, a few had stayed after school for extra help from teachers. They remained in classrooms and followed the lockdown procedures, he said while police searched the building. Officers found no weapons and no intruders.
No one was hurt. One girl is being questioned. She was reportedly outside the school and shouting about a gun inside the school. She is a middle school student.
