4 Teens Charged With Ramming, Burglarizing Springfield Tobacco Shop
Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with a burglary of Smoke Bazaar in Springfield, where they rammed a car into the store.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Four teenagers have been arrested in connection with the May 21 burglary of Smoke Bazaar in Springfield, where the suspects drove a stolen 2013 Hyundai Elantra through the front of the store, the Fairfax County Police Department said Friday.
The teenagers left the stolen car inside the store and then fled the scene in another stolen car, a 2019 Hyundai Elentra, that was found later on May 21 in the 9200 block of Wildewood Street in the Lorton area, police said.
Officers contacted the owner of the stolen 2019 Hyundai and discovered additional items, including AirPods, were stolen from the car. The AirPods were tracked to a nearby apartment, where police officers found a 15 and 16-year-old and the stolen AirPods as well as stolen property from the burglary of Smoke Bazaar, according to police.

Two other teenagers from Lorton — a 15 and 16-year-old — were also identified and arrested in connection with the incident. The four teenagers have been charged with burglary, grand larceny, petit larceny, and destruction related to the Smoke Bazaar business, police said.
Around 12:40 a.m. on May 21, officers responded to 6715 Backlick Road in Springfield after the stolen 2013 silver Hyundai Elantra drove through the Smoke Bazaar Storefront. At the time, the suspects were described as black males, 15 to 20 years of age wearing black face masks with one wearing a green jacket, according to police.

Fairfax County police determined two of the suspects arrested in connection with the May 21 incident were connected to two additional burglaries of tobacco stores in the Springfield area on May 13. A 15 and 16-year-old were charged with three counts of grand larceny and two counts of burglary related to the two separate burglaries, according to police.
