Best Buns Bakery and Burgers Opening New Location In Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Best Buns Bakery and Burgers is preparing to open a new location in Springfield on Monday, Dec. 4.

This will be Best Buns Bakery’s third location. Its first location opened in Arlington’s Shirlington neighborhood in 1995, followed by a location in Tysons.

At its new location at 6119A Backlick Road in Springfield, Best Buns Bakery and Burgers, part of the Great American Restaurants group, will serve pastries, sandwiches, salads and burgers. New menu items will include scratch-made bagels, biscuits and expanded Starbucks offerings.

“Behind the scenes, Best Buns invests hours in crafting our offerings, meticulously nurturing dough and ingredients to create the finest baked goods and prepared foods,” Carlos Fernandez, who has been leading the Best Buns Bakery operations since its inception in Shirlington in 1995, said in a statement.

"We are incredibly excited that the next location of Best Buns Bakery & Burgers will be nearby Mike’s American, which has been popular in Springfield since 1987, in a community we love," said Jon Norton, CEO of Great American Restaurants.

Lunch and Dinner Selections: Savor delectable salads like the Charleston Salad and Mango Pecan Chicken Salad, as well as sandwiches like the Honey Fried Chicken Biscuit, Turkey Club, and Mike’s Fav Ham & Havarti.

Build Your Own Burgers: Create your perfect burger with a variety of toppings and sauces.

Pastries: Treat yourself to Cinnamon Rolls, Morning Buns, Sticky Buns, Danishes, Lemon Blueberry Muffins, Cupcakes, and Cookies.

Beverages: Best Buns proudly brews Starbucks Coffee, Espresso, and specialty drinks along with an assortment of beer and wine to complement your meal.
