Crews Respond To Train Fire In Springfield: Fairfax Co. Fire

Units from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department were on the scene Thursday morning fighting a train fire in Springfield.

A train fire was reported in the 6000 block of Industrial Road. When fire crews from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department arrived, fire was showing from one unoccupied train.

SPRINGFIELD, VA — Units from the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department were on the scene Thursday morning fighting a train fire in Springfield.

The train fire was reported in the 6000 block of Industrial Road. When fire crews arrived, fire was showing from one unoccupied train.

As of about 10:20 a.m., Fairfax County fire crews were working to extinguish the fire.
