Honorary Milestone RAMMY Award Given To Mike’s American

SPRINGFIELD, VA — A Springfield restaurant was a recipient of the Honorary Milestone RAMMY Award, given to restaurants with longstanding service to the DC region.

Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington's 40th annual RAMMY award winners were announced at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center Sunday night.

The RAMMY awards are given to individuals and businesses demonstrating excellence in the DC region's food service industry. Award categories range from long-standing categories celebrating culinary excellence and pandemic-era categories recognizing the impacts to the food service industry.

Judges decided winners for most of the RAMMY categories, while the public voted on seven categories: Favorite Gathering Place of the Year, Favorite Fast Bites, Best Brunch of the Year, Outstanding Pop-Up Concept, Standout Family Meal Packages To Go, Splendid Holidays at Home and Hottest Sandwich Spot.

RAMMY awards are open to members of the Restaurant Association Metropolitan Washington, but publicly voted categories were open to any food service business in the DC region.

The Honorary Milestone RAMMY Awards are given in addition to the judge-voted and public-voted awards. Mike's American in Springfield was recognized for its 35th anniversary.
