Kingstowne Residents To Vote In Races For Governor, General Assembly

Kingstowne voters will help decide a school bond question and vote in the gubernatorial race and local House of Delegates district races.

KINGSTOWNE, VA — Voters in Kingstowne will head to the polls Tuesday to help decide statewide races and a Fairfax County school bond question.

The general election in Kingstowne will include state races Virginia governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and Virginia House of Delegates Districts 39 and 43 as well as a $360 million school bond question. Your ballot will depend on your House of Delegates district.

On Election Day, voters can head to their assigned polling place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. You can check your polling place and registration status at vote.elections.virginia.gov or look at precinct maps from the Fairfax County Office of Elections.

To vote in person, an acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person, but it is no longer required to be a photo ID. Examples of accepted ID include a Virginia driver's license, DMV-issued ID, U.S. passport, current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck and more.

For those who requested an absentee ballot, ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Nov. 2, Election Day, in person or postmarked by Nov. 2 and received by noon on Nov. 5. Ballots may also be dropped off at polling places during voting hours on Nov. 2, or 24/7 at a secure drop box outside the Fairfax County Government Center by 7 p.m. on Nov. 2. The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail was Oct. 22. Early in-person voting ended on Oct. 30.

Public School Bonds

Shall Fairfax County, Virginia, contract a debt, borrow money, and issue capital improvement bonds in the maximum aggregate principal amount of $360,000,000 for the purposes of providing funds, in addition to funds from school bonds previously authorized, to finance, including reimbursement to the County for temporary financing for, the costs of school improvements, including acquiring, building, expanding, and renovating properties, including new sites, new buildings or additions, renovations and improvements to existing buildings, and furnishings and equipment, for the Fairfax County public school system?
