Rita's Italian Ice Holds Opening Celebration In Kingstowne: PHOTOS
Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard celebrated its new location in the Kingstowne area Thursday evening, with special offers and photo ops.
KINGSTOWNE, VA — Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard celebrated its new location in the Kingstowne area Thursday evening, with a ribbon-cutting and the first 50 customers in line rewarded with Free Rita’s Italian Ice for a Year.
The store also offered guests a $4 small Italian Ice and $5 small Gelati. From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., guests were invited to enjoy photo opportunities with Rita’s mascot, Ice Guy, and Rita’s merchandise giveaways.
Local Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard franchisees Terrain and Toya Davis hosted the shop’s official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m. on Thursday.

The new shop in the Kingstowne area is located at 7592 Telegraph Rd.
Rita’s Italian Ice & Frozen Custard opened its first shop in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, in 1984. Rita’s Italian Ice is made fresh daily on-site and available in a rotating daily selection from over 75 flavors. Its menu also includes creamy frozen custard and signature frozen treats such as gelati and milkshakes.

Other Rita's Italian Ice locations in Northern Virginia are at 116 Church St NW in Vienna; 10726 Fairfax Blvd in Fairfax; and 4299 Chantilly Shopping Center, Suite 204 in Chantilly.
