KINGSTOWNE, VA — The former Topgolf and Ruby Tuesday site in Kingstowne could once again be home to a golfing facility, according to a report from the Washington Business Journal.

The Washington Business Journal reports the property owner is looking to open a similar golfing venue called Rudy's. The plans come as the property owner has been seeking rezoning to residential, but the process has been slow. A proposed comprehensive plan amendment, which would be needed before the rezoning process, has been deferred indefinitely by the Fairfax County Planning Commission as of Nov. 10.

The Kingstowne Topgolf, which had been the brand's first U.S. location, had closed in 2020, followed by the Ruby Tuesday on the same site. Another location opened just across the Potomac River in National Harbor, Maryland in late 2019.
