The new Tropical Smoothie at Landsdowne Centre in Kingstowne opened May 20, and so far has been seeing quite a bit of traffic.
"Traffic has been pretty good. We see a lot of runners, and we're glad to see the parents bring in their kids from the daycare next door," said Shift Leader Leyla El-Khater.
Since opening a little more than a month ago, Tropical Smoothie employees have also noticed a popular smoothie flavor.
"The Island Green Smoothie is probably the most popular. It has spinach and kale in it. A lot of runners come in and people looking to make healthy choices," El-Khater said. "This smoothie is a way to get your vegetables in even if you don't like the taste of vegetables."
Tropical Smoothie also offers healthy breakfast and lunch items.
