Liberty University Dining by Sodexo brought the enchanting spirit of love to the Reber-Thomas Dining Center on February 8 with its highly anticipated Speed Dating event. The event, held for the first time in the newly renovated dining center, attracted an impressive turnout of 320 students eager to make meaningful connections.
To set the romantic ambiance, the dining center was adorned with hearts, sparkle symbols suspended from the ceiling, and string curtain lights providing mood lighting. The lower level of the dining center hosted the event, allowing students to enjoy 10 rounds of 3-minute speed dates within four different time slots. As participants engaged in animated conversations, the grand staircase provided a captivating backdrop, with onlookers cheering on their peers from above.
The event not only facilitated connections but also witnessed the exchange of several phone numbers, with newfound acquaintances continuing the evening by grabbing dinner together. Liberty University's beloved mascot, Sparky, made a special appearance to cheer on the speed daters, adding an extra layer of excitement to the proceedings.
