Carlsbad Staff To Present Update On Kelly And Park Drives Improvements
Construction is anticipated for summer 2024, according to the city.
CARLSBAD, CA — City staff will provide an update on the Kelly and Park drives complete streets improvements project during the Dec. 5 Traffic and Mobility Commission meeting at Carlsbad City Hall.
The city is working to design roads that will encourage drivers to slow down, improve pedestrian and cyclist safety, and improve access and connectivity to trails. Improvements are being planned around Kelly Elementary School along Kelly Drive from El Camino Real to Park Drive, and along Park Drive from Kelly Drive to Neblina Drive.
Earlier this year, the city gathered input from community members about their priorities and feedback on options for biking and walking paths and the intersection design at Kelly and Hillside drives. Staff reviewed the input and will present bike path and traffic intersection designs during the Traffic and Mobility Commission meeting.
