Holidays At Legoland California To Bring Bricktastic Cheer To Carlsbad Theme Park

The annual event will feature a new holiday-themed ride, Lego holiday characters, seasonal shows, festive treats and holiday fireworks.

CARLSBAD, CA — Lego fans can have a merry little brick-built holiday at Legoland California Resort.

The Carlsbad-based theme park will transform into a Lego winter wonderland for Holidays at Legoland. The annual event starts Nov. 22 and runs on select dates through Jan. 4.

This year's event is set to shine brighter than ever with the park's three-story-tall Lego Christmas tree built from more than 360,000 bricks. Legoland will be filled with other holiday Lego brick models, Lego builds and festive experiences, including an elf hat scavenger hunt.

Families can visit the new Lego Santa and his life-size, 17-foot sleigh complete with two Lego reindeer. Parkgoers can also snap "elfies" with new and returning Lego holiday characters, including Lego Gingerbread Man, Lego Nutcracker, Lego Reindeer Girl, Lego Snowman and Lego Wizard.

The event will feature the festive ride, Elf Driving School, as well as Nutcracker's Marching Band. Seasonal shows will include Santa's Elf Tree Lighting, Brass Band Holiday Bash, Elf Build Workshop and Once Upon a Brick-Mas. There will also be merry drinks and treats. Holiday fireworks will take place on Dec. 6 and Dec. 13 and nightly from Dec. 20-31.

Families can welcome the New Year with the park's annual Kids' New Year’s Eve on Dec. 31. The family-friendly party offers live entertainment, special treats and a fireworks show, counting down to an early "midnight" at 7 p.m. Special 3D viewing glasses will transform fireworks into exploding Lego bricks.
