Healdsburg Restaurant Molti Amici Added To Michelin Guide
There's no shortage of casual Italian eateries in wine country, the Michelin Guide said, but few manage to hit their mark quite so dead on.
HEALDSBURG, CA—A Healdsburg restaurant was mentioned in the famed Michelin Guide for 2024. The guide catalogs restaurant experiences that are worth a drive. California's newest additions to the guide were unveiled at an Aug. 5 ceremony in the ballroom of the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay.
Molti Amici, an Italian restaurant at 330 Healdsburg Ave. that, per its menu, offers "handmade pizzas, pasta, cocktails and bocce," was one of 10 Bib Gourmands uncovered this year by traveling Michelin inspectors as "hidden gems bursting with flavor that won't break the bank."
A Bib Gourmand pick is not a Michelin-starred restaurant — not yet at least — but has "good quality, good value cooking," according to the Michelin Guide.

Here is what Michelin inspectors had to say about the Healdsburg eatery:
"Wine country certainly has no shortage of this sort of casual Italian eatery, with a menu featuring the expected wood-fired pizzas and house-made pastas—but few of them manage to hit their mark quite so dead on as they do here. They may not be reinventing the wheel, but those pizzas are ideally blistered and feature simple but compelling toppings like squash blossom with fontina and balsamic, and the pastas, like a satisfying take on bucatini amatriciana topped with crunchy breadcrumbs, offer an ideally al dente chew. On one of Healdsburg’s not-infrequent balmy days, the enclosed patio, complete with bocce court, is indeed an excellent spot to gather with 'many friends,' as suggested by the name."
The 2024 guide spotlighted 577 restaurants across the state and listed 85 California restaurants with stars. Michelin added one new green-star restaurant, three new two-star restaurants, and seven new one-star restaurants to its California Guide for 2024.

Michelin inspectors do anonymous reviews and do not comment on changes in star levels or a restaurant's removal from the guide. Michelin revisits all previous winners and new prospects with five criteria in mind: meal quality, harmony of flavors, mastery of technique, personality of the chef and cuisine, and consistency between each visit.
