Pleasant Hill Man Arrested In Healdsburg With Suspected Marijuana
When a Dodge truck was pulled over at 1:20 a.m. by a Healdsburg officer, something smelled fishy. A search revealed 594 suspected pot plants

HEALDSBURG - Healdsburg police arrested a Pleasant Hill man early Sunday on suspicion of possession and sale of nearly 600 suspected marijuana plants in his vehicle.
An officer stopped Art Banks' Dodge truck around 1:20 a.m. at the Redwood Highway off-ramp from southbound U.S. Highway 101, Sgt. Hector Altamirano said.
The officer smelled marijuana in the truck and saw several plastic trays with many small plants of marijuana in plain view, Altamirano said.

Police found 594 plants of suspected marijuana and cultivation equipment in the bed of the truck, Altamirano said.
Banks, 49, was booked under $30,000 bail into Sonoma County Jail and was scheduled to appear in Sonoma County Superior Court Wednesday morning.
