Mableton Shooting Suspect, Car Still Wanted By Cobb Police
Cobb police are searching for a suspect in Monday's shooting in Mableton, who they believe got in a 2000s model Toyota sedan when fleeing.
COBB COUNTY, GA — An 18-year-old was run over by a car and shot in Mableton on Monday, and Cobb County police are searching for the car and suspect they believe are involved with the shooting.
Just after 11:30 a.m. Monday, Ricardo Ward, 18, of Hampton, was found lying in the driveway of a home on St. Martins Lane with several gunshot wounds, Cobb police said.
Officers said he was also run over by a car, and witnesses told multiple news outlets Ward was run over after the suspect shot him.

Ward was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and he remains in critical condition.
Police say the suspect is believed to have gotten in a silver or champagne-colored 2000s model Toyota sedan. The car was parked in the cul-de-sac on St. Martins Lane.
