  1. The nearby Art Institute of Atlanta, after nearly 75 years in operation, has announced its closure at the end of September, citing challenging conditions exacerbated by the pandemic. This announcement has created shockwaves within the Atlanta art community, leaving students and graduates scrambling for alternatives. The closure will have a huge impact on the local art scene, as the school has been a significant place to gather in the city. The exact reasons behind the closure are yet to be fully disclosed. The Rotarians used a $5,000 grant to support the nonprofit organization, covering approximately half the cost of the glasses for students. 3. Ja’Keivious Arnold, 24, was arrested on Friday in relation to the death of 25-year-old Mitchel T. Dang, who was discovered beneath a parking lot staircase in nearby Atlanta. Arnold is facing charges of murder, robbery, and kidnapping.
